Technological Spider

For the past 250 years, we have witnessed successive industrial revolutions. Inventions that change our lives and the mathematically described laws of our world alter how we live. Currently, we are experiencing one of the most groundbreaking technological revolutions. Immense data volumes, monitoring of our behaviors, sensors so light they are almost undetectable, and the powerful computing capacity available for a fraction of the cost. This has made Artificial Intelligence, a natural consequence of progress, omnipresent in our lives. Most of us are unaware of how much it surrounds us and influences our behaviors, decisions - our lives.

Many people do not realize its existence. Some fear its consequences. It's important to understand that artificial intelligence has two faces - industrial (i.e., autonomous control) in industrial processes, and consumer, which influences our behavior.

I believe that the fastest and most comprehensive implementation of industrial artificial intelligence is in humanity's best interest, although I fear a SKYNET-like scenario. However, I want to draw attention to the latter. In this closer aspect, I fear its impact on cultural changes and the creation of information asymmetry. Am I in favor of regulation? Generally, yes, but not the foolish kind that limits certain social layers while giving others unlimited possibilities for action and development.

People fear what they do not understand. For centuries, they have been frightened by monsters, hell, or Armageddon. We are already in the spider's web, but that doesn't mean we will be devoured.
